03/12/10 Snow-Larson, Inc. is proud to announce a huge milestone in the Twin Cities roofing market.
Snow-Larson, Inc. a Minnesota based company with its primary business focus being a manufacturers representative for commercial construction materials in the five State area is proud to announce a huge milestone in the Twin Cities roofing market.
Sika Sarnafil, one of their premiere product lines has recently awarded Snow-Larson two separate “project of the year awards”. Sika Sarnafil is a leader in waterproofing and roofing materials.
Sika Sarnafil has nationally recognized the Minneapolis Target Center, home of the Timberwolves with the first place award focusing on vegetated waterproofing in the United States. The Target Center Green Roof is fifth largest in the United States and ranked in the top 12 globally. This roof was designed to reduce the urban heat island effect, smogging, and reduce storm water run off to the sewer system in Minneapolis, MN.
The Second Award received was in the low slope roofing category. The Science and Teaching Lab for the University of Minnesota is the recipient. This project is recognized for its difficult design to comply with LEED and low VOC contents. Sika Sarnafil assisted in the design to comply with Factory Mutual to exceed ratings of 128mph wind speeds for roof areas that exceeded 100 feet in height. Because of the complexity of the project, safety for the installation team was a primary factor and we are happy to announce the project is a huge success.
Congratulations to all companies involved!
